What is the global prevalence of food groups consumption among children age 6-23 months?
This review will consider studies involving infants age 6 to 23 months, both sexes, and who not presented diseases or dietary restrictions.
CONDITION: The current review will include surveys that investigated the 7 food groups consumption proposed by WHO (2008). The 7 food groups are: 1 - grains, roots, and tubers; 2 - legumes and nuts; 3 - dairy products (milk, yogurt, cheese); 4 - flesh foods (meat, fish, poultry, and liver/organ meats); 5 - eggs; 6 - vitamin-A rich fruits and vegetables; and 7 - other fruits and vegetables.
Studies will be included in this review if they describe regular and household day consumption. However, data on schools, hospitals, healthcare and charity institution's food consumption will not be included. If the study does not inform the place of consumption, it will be included. It will not have restrictions about culture, ethnicities, geography, and gender.
